EQUILIBRIUM — Light & Darkness explores the tension between light and darkness, instinct and balance, through sculptural relief, texture and painting.
This original mixed-media construction was created over approximately six months of work and combines tridimensional volume with fine artistic detailing, resulting in a strong visual presence between painting and sculpture.
Techniques and materials used: • Wire and metal mesh structure for the tridimensional construction • Modeling pastes and textured relief techniques • Airbrush / aerography detailing • Hand painting with brushes • Gold leaf application on selected areas • Layered mixed-media finishing techniques
